a study toward sonnet #356 by FisherKingKQJ
We wear matching red lycra tracksuits,
We play with fluffy sky blue teddy bears,
On little trumpets we duet tinny toots,
We roll in bread slices asparagus spears.
In the medicine cabinet, if anyone peers:
His painkillers next to hers dental floss,
My tampons, liners, antithrush brushware,
As in circuit training out tragic stars cross.
We cuddle each other, and there's no boss,
We live for one another through adage,
A drunk driver who didn't give a toss,
Me, downes', mad on a trial mixed marriage.
His brain damage is a wonderful find-
Some people are so bigoted and unkind.
His brain damage is a wonderful find.
His brain damage is a wonderful discovery.
His brain damage is a wonderful revelation.
