a study toward sonnet #340 by FisherKingKQJ
I was prone to unrequited love pangs,
Unconsciously I betrayed myself keen,
I loved more than life her auburn bangs
Which shone as if shot silk threaded sheen.
Ambiguous words she mistook for mean,
But falling in love was no crazy deed-
An inkling of love she started to glean,
I flicked down my eyes so she couldn't read.
We bumped into each other, spirits freed,
I became her, she me, I felt contused
My heart was still at war, this much agreed,
In the mirror my sweet face played amused.
I flicked a tress back, I brushed my waist,
A handsome man behind my shoulder paced.
A handsome man behind my shoulder paced.
A handsome man behind my shoulder sauntered.
A handsome man behind my shoulder walked.
