a study toward sonnet #1,152 by FisherKingKQJ

I love the pretty, plaintive Penelope,
Her votive hands are looped with blue veins,
In weaving tapestry, she wends her pains,
If I caught her elsewhere, we could elope.
I sigh, with other suitors envelope
Her figure fawning, as her face wields strains,
As old Laertes' shroud shapes up his chillblains,
Deep lumbago, neck flaps, and aged lope.
My love then wonders him more loopy young,
Unweaving wanders undoing her earlier oath,
I dare not speak of Odysseus bow weft strung,
And rallying rival suitors, I am loathe.
In my sweet sleep she'll interlace exact,
From as he was as he will be extract.

(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 exact
o $10,000,000 apt
o $10,000,000 precise

a study toward sonnet #1,151 by FisherKingKQJ

I loathe my sister, our boys in their box,
She's a rival who'd quash me as quisling
If I weren't the skilled up older sibling,
With her big money me she subtly mocks.
Always, she was as scheming as a fox-
Fired poor parents with comparing, quibbling
Us against each other doubly dribbling,
Then, as now, she vamped up our variant clocks.
I love my sister, we'll lounge together,
She's still up for a lark, a heartfelt laugh,
Keeping careless score, mind light as ether,
Compared to my man, better by one half.
I love and loathe my sister yet by turns,
She rallies me so, or in reach me spurns.

(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 turns
o $10,000,000 goes
o $10,000,000 roles

a study toward sonnet #1,150 by FisherKingKQJ

To my red embers, she draws her white sleet,
If I breathe up close, she'll bulge ice out of mush;
If she breathes close up, I'll burst fire out of slush,
Why aren't we plasma positive ion neat?
If I'm much kinder, compliments replete,
Her cold blue heart ignores my red brow flush,
Half finger on her pout, she'll sign to hush,
Her beauty such, I'll bide her blithe conceit.
As our scaled up heat exchange convection
Makes me desire her coldness more and more,
She cuts out silent, chilled out confection,
So upsized round each other we still soar.
Far out, I guess at her lips glistening
Round word shapes licking, me not listening.

(Chorus)

o $10,000,000 coruscating
o $10,000,000 flickering

I'd thought this yellow yali as neat for us,
That meeting you was luckiest of my breaks,
Since we were in the cellar midst the caiques,
Since we foamed wakes in green-blue Bosphorus.
We've looped our loop east-west on the torus,
I'll call you kari, yield what evli takes,
Enriching both, where no spouse self forsakes,
You're my bayan, being buz gibi, calm or fuss.
So let me teach you Turkish in our haremlik-
Comb, tarak; tweezers, cimbiz; krem, plain cream;
Soap, saban; make up, makyaj; ruj, lipstick,
And deodarant, deodarant, simplest meme.
Paolo, my love, word bol means loosefitting,
I know you know, mirrors do I'm sitting.

I yawn through, ask that he repeat, repeat,
I keep my eyes grounded, gauge him weary,
I lodge my cool clutch between us leery,
I faux frown at him, thinking of some cheat.
Should he sneak past my guard as oversweet
I'll put him on hold as wholesome eerie,
Muse his gambit glib, spooned airyfairy,
I'll bravo bray at his childlike hic-bleat.
To cut him off, I'll counterweight my shirk-
He'll laugh, I'll whine, he'll perv, I'll roll my eyes,
He'll grin, I'll grimace, he'll half smile, I'll smirk,
He'll stroke at my knee scar, I'll slap his thighs.
The last thing I want is a loon who's game
To be my partner, and no what's-his-name.

You're sour or snobby, scathing of the least,
Which tamps out all your admirable traits,
Your heart is stiff when it puts me in straits
For loving your looks as a visual feast.
In your demeanour breaks the touch of beast,
Prejudice, social ladders, rack which rates,
You've turned a famished, whingeing wolf of baits,
And yet my fear for you has scarcely ceased.
You're some cuddly wolf cub in wolf's clothing,
Honest as gruff, yet growing more sinister,
Putting up with me through placid loathing,
Howled down, doggedly on I'd minister.
Your hackles raised, how for you I still pine,
Wave you a crumb of bread, a drop of wine.

I felt his eyes pass across my hips and head,
My body was, apart from my bare hands
And pallid face, all dressed and free of glands,
My toes went pigeon, I posed small girl lead.
Good looks, brains, charm were in my sister bred
Aplenty by genes - it's you who understands
How I feel hard done by junk in stray strands,
How he's there, covertly eyeing me instead.
An also ran, you grasp what I'm going through,
Cute as cute, yet shadowed by your brother,
More handsome for a boy, held in paired view -
Is he waiving her off, worth such bother?
He made me feel small, and I could've squealed,
Although he'd offered himself as my shield.

Those Julian cardinals claim their leap year,
On leap day their Pope lugs their world a-right;
For my love I track a hex year more tight,
A six day week, day seven sabbath fair.
In my brain I've built her a church sincere,
To my love who looks lovely, who talks light,
A leap day after centuries seems slight,
And she can stem misfortune as a seer.
In her church I've chiseled one high altar
Where vicars tithe and vote her food and drink-
Nothing from her would I axe or alter,
No nuance of her fine body would I shrink.
If I play safe, gild her or file her fat,
I know that she'll turn down gifts nicely flat.

It's her blend of biology and background
Makes her so pretty, witching, worth the scout,
Shy modesty, inquest, and mugging pout
Are juggled in her eyes, in face muscles found.
Times her eyes will glaze over, go lights out,
As if corpse eased, then clap again and spout
Concern as if grimed lenses were reground,
Make up for lost time, material world tout.
Blinking sharp, she edits her bright gazes,
And juggles dimples, nose flares, jaunty smirks,
Seconds later thorough verbiage razes
My hosting eyes, with thin reflux quark quirks.
No tome treats her withdrawal into heaven,
Nor her bubbling yeast reverse to leaven.

We're sentimental yet well fitted souls,
You push my buttons, likewise I do yours,
We're wallowing sufis surfing at our cores,
For true love we'd eat glass, or walk on coals.
Here in the Qattara's dry dimpled boles,
We're forty fathoms under sea level shores,
Whale fossils wake, on camels without oars,
Midst salty sand chotts, nubile dunes and knolls.
The Sahara whole is but one eighth sand,
Bold whales turned their backs on evolution,
Louise, let me hold your sweating fine boned hand,
You can plunge your mind pro devolution.
This mirage caravan swaps salt for gold,
You sudden u-turn, so I'm sodden sold.

I seemed jammed in jeweller's hand model,
She'd break me into bold strip mall billboards,
In cowboy boots and bootcut jeans and cords,
My blonde partner whooped the deal a doddle.
She beamed at my breasts and whined a yodel,
She slipped me polaroids of skimpy hordes
Who'd done her budget brochures as young wards,
Voiced up her vibrator, how she'd coddle.
I warned her: I was in love with a chick,
She was settled, herself years on steady,
I wouldn't have to give my girl the flick,
If more followed as bonus, she felt ready.
But girls might get mad, call me ginger slut,
As I'm not blind to her butch short hair cut.

I muse that now you've got a metal heart,
That you're a robot bushed in grey brushed steel,
That you're a stickler spelling what you feel,
Your filings in my blood, a fluking dart.
Time you would tremble between girl and tart,
Your heart a yellow hot brand raised to heal,
But only in my mind, mind, its forging seal,
Waxed you as you being a challenge to chart.
You'd wager that I'm at worst dregs then scum,
With sears you'd seal all my wounds in between;
I'd mangle your metal heart back to plumb,
With manganese bleed white your iron green.
You magnetise my heart's red bloody rust,
I switch alchemy in your gold glass bust.

But Paolo, I've been flash and less than frank,
There were times that my label tags I snipped,
My clothes flogged at flea markets, times tight lipped,
When there's been just the week's rent in the bank.
As for men, I've tried some, most outright stank,
I'd cradle my glass, mask-like slowly sipped,
Then peanut bowl beam, my eyelids low dipped,
In so doing some sad sack I'd fast outflank.
But Louise, you've told me don't be some sad sack,
Yet just hear yourself knocking yourself down;
Your spot cards played out, I'd recreate your stack,
My queen of hearts pick up, dust off your crown.
La Cuba Castle, lazaret through plague,
Now open home for us who're hurt and vague.

The lead goose has gone hard tack at the storm,
According with wind currents nicely swirling,
Pre-empting by going round in circles whirling,
As clouds speed up into hurricane flow form.
Stars were our map, moon was our milestone corm,
I'm bogged barb end, lightning sharp unfurling,
As forward go our honks splutter hurling,
Is this so wrong, or so right or the norm?
You know how middling, I honk you enough,
Catch you at the start, the seed of trouble,
When you get in grand spirals of being gruff,
When we've skipped wreckage adrift and rubble.
What can I say but - our fat and hormones

I must now take leave of our Minted Queen,
Catch back my breath, and brake the fiery pace,
Leave take of her small change bas relief struck face,
And spin coins on edge for a change of scene.
The One gives me a touching scene serene,
Inspires my verses with her coup de grace
Against vain loves who've vanished with no trace,
Their selfish manners altogether mean.
Not one to damn with feint and paltry praise,
I've cried recalling girls in need who cling,
Whose rancid poems and songs are used to raze
Relationships, I've bounced back like a spring.
My love has no pretense of writing verse,
Her words are supportive, a healing bourse.

Again I've done it - as I've blown my stack,
When he tried something trivial of no worth,
As if a giant gash opened in the earth,
With Pluto's orbit way gone into whack.
Being perfectionist, midst the sundry slack,
I somehow still give shallow men a berth,
Connect with coldness under charm and mirth,
For ages or weeks I hum, holding back.
Lateness, inattention are large symbols
I'm looked on then with larrikin esteem;
I'll wear velvet gloves and steely thimbles,
I'll spit the basics, nevertheless scream.
Do I read into their stuff much too much?

My past addicted eyes can't pluck enough
From your yearning, youthful face and deeds,
Though your own sight with broad suspicion beads,
Though your judgments are acid rank and rough.
All counterbalanced by your cloistered stuff,
The not-so-soft rebuffs in memo screeds,
Where bittersweet to simply bitter leads,
Where my infatuation flags navel fluff.
I've dreamed you made over as my missus,
I being gaunt man gauche in yon looking glass,
Nervous voice leased back by said Narcissus,
As you hold back, forgo one hissed faux pas.
On you, I'd mate male deep sea angler fish,
A tumour stuck on your large curvy swish.

When they declaim, all their talk is dovetailed,
They end each others sentences mind read,
They have so much that needs be nicely said
For half hours one the other has regaled.
At domestic fights they've more than just failed,
Fights rare, shortlived, fierce, and away swift sped
She leaves him love notes in his tin workshed,
He brings her tulips Tuesdays, wrapped or bailed.
Mine married me to split the rotten rent,
Loves me for sake of future little kids,
Heaves open doors for me more opulent,
My last self bought dress my best dress so bids.
Mine lacks the mojo, though never estranged,
I can't shake off that I'm left as shortchanged.

a study toward sonnet #1,133 by FisherKingKQJ

We're still in love, but I still don't know
How love bites and clawed scratches came about;
Stale etiquette is what you seem to doubt,
Old whimpered ecstasy welled in a throe.
On our own private island our souls grow
Together closer coupled, we can flout
Fairweather friends, our parents who can spout
Lip service success, set up for some blow.
We're upsized big cats with a scratch of prion,
Who're comfortably compassed in their skins;
As you're now a lioness large as a lion,
Where I'm an outsized lion who you yet pins.
You preen my pecs with light incisor welts,
Roll up our fireside rug of cheetah pelts.

(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 welts
o $10,000,000 bosses

Don Bernardo, Louise here is my next wife,
Please bless us as you and your fine spouse
Have lived a model marriage, you do grouse
Against sad divorced polizzia made strife.
O, Senor Paolo, she lilts me through life,
Brings me my laundry, keeps the straightest house;
No grudge against that judge, that henpecked louse,
I'll grant him goggles, casa marzu rife.
Senor Provenzano, you're buccolic,
Lilypalmed, modernist man of letters,
Your boilerplate bleeds words workaholic,
Typing pizzini, you're plainly in fetters.
You cook fine spaghetti laced with black sauce,
From cuttlefish ink sacs, our final course.

o $10,000,000 gravy

When we go to venues or just visit,
You'll walk up to me, tickle warm my ears
With whispered, choice sweet nothing cheers,
Whispers warm in kind from me elicit.
People blink past, we're posed near illicit
Among free sofas, stools, armchairs or chairs,
You'll snag me willing onto your knee snares,
We just know that they think we're exquisite.
When we're alone, you're sticky as fridge ice,
And only I replenish our rain dance
For love to ooze out of us acting nice,
Passing up an offbeat, weak remonstrance.
As we garner a tortured, jealous glance,
Tap everyone in our mutual trance.

Singleton you, you've done me out-tarried,
And yet I can't sort myself now to speak
My shame filled, outsized envy of your chic,
When I'm most happily newly married.
Free as you please, obligations parried,
You scarce compromise in a psyching tweak
Of yourself up, else drinking yourself weak,
A partner's romantic mood partly carried.
Above all gloom, you're very good at things
That I adore, that I'm not too bad at,
Around which our fit friendship haloes rings,
You glamourise the rough gems, even scat.
You might then meet the One better later,
My spouse unfinished, my self doubts cater.

When will my panic, pain and anguish end?
My legs quaver under, my knees quiver,
I delve your eyes, which yet don't deliver
Refreshment, mercy, or fine favour lend.
To see your realised self, I'll often bend,
You alone let bathe in pure Lethe river;
Universe expanding shucks my shiver,
Since I'm in love such things I'll not upend.
Yet stern admonition and silent rage
Are what I reap or stagger from your space,
Loyal last, your perceived enemy engage
And neutralise short of nude volte face.
Lovesick for you, in suspense I languish,
Potential you wait on, prepped by anguish.

Black Forest cuckoo harbinger of bling,
He's bellows punctual, breezy clockwork aired,
Wet twelve to one lunch he plays hand reared,
His lovers' bookends: card queen and king.
A multiplex choir of all cuckoos sling
Their tunes brand new and second string dog eared,
Their holo forest echoes them two tiered,
As cuckoo white eggs cuckoo brown eggs ping.
She vaunts the vague sobs of many who're hurt,
And creeps hands on said clock of bad luck bold,
That she, like he, can front up more than flirt,
For words quiet as, quite reversing cuckold.
Dear, she wants our nest, as she's a wittol,
Cuckoos all, but our white eggs no tittle.

I didn't think that I'd love you again,
I never did try seriously to date;
My fault for finagling you in a strait,
You broke it off in voiceless, hidden pain.
I was a copycat, yet far too vain,
Squeezed us tight into their unique template-
As when my best friend showed off in a fete
Her giant engagement ring, so high in grain.
When you and I can groove as custom lot,
When I can love her for her overlap;
I think that I can value one more shot-
I know that seeing you could get me a slap.
I wrote you off as docile, worn and dun,
As disabused, I honour you the One.

Stiff white deck chairs with shadows nether,

The Holo Magi first draught

[to be recast in terza rima]

[Junior Junior II and Francesca appear out of
a puffed cloud of nanorobots. They are dressed
as the jack of hearts gold and the jack of clubs
blue.]

CODA colliloquy

Junior - As my spells grow in strength
As time rubs out old self at length
It's better that I and I coolly split
In two, that we all give a whit
Two particles being a wave sidelong,
Our views right, angled, wrong.

Fran - So here we'll stay under house arrest,
By flipped card time travel attest,
If we can't be friends, let's not be foes,
And happy enough just unset by woes. $10

Junior - They told me there was no Noah,
And yet to glacial ages said, so true, whoah!
They said there can never be a clone,
But like common twins I'm never alone,
They told me dinosaurs were boiled leather,
When they're hotblooded of a feather,
When the yogis said the world is a painful dream
They said things are what they seem.

Fran - A multiverse here, there and where,
We swim between gluons and far and near, $20
In clouds of nanorobots through secret passes
Through two way looking glasses.

END
Act Four Scene Two
[The Holo Magi, Cusp of Atlantis first draught.]

-With eyes on the stalks at the top
of my head, here's a critter or two that I'd
look down on without a frown.
Albinio - I see sparkling mischief in
of your eyes. My sorely misunderstood boss -
let me sum the ways he might punish me.
- Haha hahe haho bingo! what's this
mumbojumbo sale? this sideshow is priceless.
JuniorII - Cost plus - this one in particular is a
hardboiled egghead, white as whites can be. $10
Holo - This marginal homespun grand mal, I
disown - his voodoo priestess mother would turn
in her grave. His head was too big
for the caeserean section, he killed her
doing the breech. Apparently, she raindanced till
the clouds poured, ushered in the new moon,
when it would rather take a holiday. These
hardened criminals stand no chance of coercing
me into extorting mankind with black magic
catastrophes. It's down to damage control. $20
Albinio - Don't cripple my nipple, Orb.
Orb - You deserve the metaphysics.
Fran - I know them and they know me. I'm
not going to pretend otherwise. This is Eduardo,
our coke cook, high as a kite.
Eduardo - Go ahead, then, Mr Magic, pull a rabbit
or a coke balloon out your mule ass. I heard this
place is called Hooligan's Island after the ticket
price gouger from southern County Cork.
Junior Junior II - And his fraternal sidekick is $30
off his face, too - how did we end up in this
fruit candy? It's a rum situation or not.
- I've been in this candy for twenty
years bit by bit, I can now boast of my new
bones. I could walk in a circle three times,
before I lie down and spend a spell as a dog.
-You're not yourself, Eduardo. Your eyes
are bloodshot and you're talking gibberish.
-Shove off, tomboy. I'm crawling with
spiders and ants because of you and your $40
cooties and your aversion to deodarant.
Holo - You were going to turn the island
into a gigantic cocaine factory, idiot!
-It'd be a creative self sacrifice.
Junior Junior II -It's the weirdest thing that
I've witnessed, virtual or real.

[Sticks a finger in his open mouth to
indicate nausea.]

Holo - Crude and rude, ugly in looks and spirit,
you've got a bone to pick with me? $50
Albinio - You've smothered many a grand or
petit mal on my part, which should've been
allowed to run its course. You've never said
thank you for me giving you mouth to mouth
resuscitation when you washed ashore all
those years ago. You only let me own land at
the low water mark and forced your learning
on me to soon, and will not officially recognise
my cargo cult.
Holo - You're never far away from blackmail, $60
are you Albinio? You and your petit mals.
Albinio - My cargo cult is recognised in the
city of Atlantis - I didn't want to hurt your
feelings, but there you have it, strike me down.
Holo - Chloe, take him away. Use your full
strength. Captain Sex Robot, strip the
smugglers of their filched bullet proof
jackets and dump the small time amateurish
smugglers in a longboat or cutter off the
shore of good old Guantanamo bay. $70
Eduardo - We only borrowed them for a decade
or two, till we're bent and shrunk with age.

[Exeunt.]

Holo - Before I climb into the drawer, to be
fired at the sun and into a parallel universe,
I must ask you one thing and show you two things.
What is the exotic, transparent substance which
expanding cooled, wedges open a black hole?
Fran - Water, the essential liquid of life.
Holo - Correct. You'll notice that I can summon
a virtual environment with three clicks of my $80
fingers, as each click is unique within the
context of me. One click, two click, three click.

[The tree of knowledge and the tree of good and evil
appear on third finger click.]

The tree of good and evil, of left and right is
deciduous, and makes a show of its fall. The
tree of knowledge is evergreen, on its trunk are
grafted the citrus fruits, lemons, limes and
oranges. Though there are other permutations.
Fran - The snake? Is it like a radio wave?
Holo II - Is a crank. See, he cranks the fruits round $90
and round and round and round and round.
Holo I - Orb, open the drawer. Soon, I shall
be frozen in a wedge of ice with my closest
nanorobots and fired at the sun. I shall be
back who knows when. Adieu, byebye, so long.

[Morgue-like drawer closes.]

Act Four Scene One
(The Holo Magi, Cusp of Atlantis, first draught)

-See, more of our sex robots have come
back to party. At a loose end, they drink
ethanol and dry hump each other.
See, they're wobbling on their sea-legs,
wait till they get started on you. What's up?
-We've found you in one piece. The ship
is bobbing on the plimsoll line, the bilge
flushed out, the copper solenoid towers
sparking behind the automatic wheelhouse
-Holo Magi, I brought them in to the tuneful $10
sound shape of a dildo half rotated
-Well done, my finicky, faithful spirit.
-We've stashed bondage gear in the lower
decks as a vote of confidence in the Holo Magi's
complete automation of the Stormchaser II.
The whips, chains, cuffs and rubber masks are
all broken in, the safe words mesmerised.
-Nothing left to chance, this time. You shall
be on call, Captain Sex Robot, on every passage.
- Aye, aye, Holo Magi. Party any good? $20
-More humans and much sooner than I expected.
They'll appreciate you, robots, that you can rough
each other up from time to time for no
reason, just like the real thing.
-This is the wildest thing I've seen, they're
walking talking whores and gigolos.
-I assure you, they only take a donation to
cover their cost of maintenance. What do
you think of this one. She's into goth body
modification...the decorative drawstring $30
ring in her neck is a masterstroke, is it
not? Now, be careful, figure: slapper or tease.
-I've witnessed, Frannie, Senor Junior's
later unfettered experiments on the island,
the progress has been rapid. But none is as
mysteriously lovely as sweet you.
-Orb, float this horseshoe magnet and loose
Albinio and his new best friends, the cocaine
smugglers. The two speed boats split up to
beat the coast guard - we've known all along, $40
the whereabouts our feisty Francesca.

[Orb re-enters, prodding in with aggressive
scoots, Albinio brandishing an old thighbone
of the Holo Magi's and the fraternal twins who
are still wearing the early bullet proof
smocks they've filched and carrying uzis
in the pistolwhipping position. They carry
with them old red, green and blue dice,
and a replica of Moses' cane of snakes,
which twirled screwlike, brings them
to animated life.]
[missing section for Act 1 Scene 2 of
first draught for The Holo Magi, Cusp of
Atlantis.]

Toshiro - In this perfect world, I would
banish all downside to human life. Zimmer
frames and mobility scooters would pass
one another in the street without a scuffle;
bush lawyers would only be deputised
during civil disasters such as earthquakes,
fires and plagues; no cash or credit cards,
people would barter purely to kill boredom
and jaded appetites; oil would stay in the
ground, mischief averse; metal would return $10
to its natural state of blood or rust; wild fruit
would be the only source of nutrition; there
would be no jobless and noone would work;
men would practise tantric yoga on women-
-Flystruck and yet in union with the sky. Fingernails
and toenails would grow several feet long,
hair would grow down to the toes and wrap
baldspots like turbans with greasy proxy dreads.
-In this presbyopia, none allowed to agree to disagree.
-No tools or weapons to raise a foul smelling $20
sweat, all of which put man in servitude.
-Monkeys eating termites off the ends of twigs...
banned! How dare they break unwritten law.
-Hard muscle should waste away to soft, nurturing
female fat should not dismiss bad cholesterol.
-A world without pooholes where people and
animals only ate as much as they expended in
energy. Where the lion preens the lamb, if so
inclined, both toothless, pooholes branded shut.
-A delicately balanced ecosystem, where the flap $30
of a butterfly's wings in the Amazon would fan
a dustmite in Hobart, as she laid eggs and poopoos
side by side in human skin, balancing bad with worse.
-Poopoos are nice calling card. No fly by night.

a study toward sonnet #1,124 by FisherKingKQJ

She claps a continent for asking whole earth;
She splits me off her best friend as a friend;
She bawls on me that I her messes mend;
She quotes great herd instinct to back her girth.
She packs to leave me dumb, for what it's worth;
She hovers out of household chores which pend;
She nags my nods, when elsewhere bogged I bend;
She brainwashes beneath pretext of mirth.
Back then, my cheeks flushed in love at first sight,
Thought tall, though petite and very slender,
Thought bold, though nervously shy and uptight,
She tapped my knee at once cheeky-tender.
Mostly, she makes me feel that I'm better
Than her, though she's my old ball and fetter.

o $10,000,000 better
o $10,000,000 higher

Act Three Scene Ten

Junior -You caught a queen in the river -
that's no kind hearted all-in bluff!
-I can't believe my eyes, she looks a
picture of health and so well matched in
temperament, stature, if somewhat chubby.
-You'll see, as the years go by, the age gap
between us becomes less obvious.
-You're no step daughter of mine -
you're a common criminal gold digging.

[Francesca offers to kiss the Dictator's
hand, but he waves her away.]

-This is unreal, I can't believe any of it. $10
-Tell me the whole story, I've been party to
much society gossip over the years.
-You horrible neanderthals, I wish I'd
never seen you. You won't get anywhere
with debates about genocide and annihilation.
I've seen real people like Junior in real books.
But what a small world! And so hurtful.
-Small as your yard rule. Our faces are lumpy as
our world came crashing round us in the
water dimple of the seeding a hurricane $20
and the ship went down. Something in the
water wrinkled us and aged us, to match
our pelts with the wild growing hair of our nostrils,
ears and eyebrows. The male pattern is gone.
-This handsome boy you're fooling around
with at the poker table, as if you've known
him all your life - were you brought together by
ill fortune or nasty mischief makers?
-He's flesh and blood as I am, and therefore mine
by consent and inclination. He's the clone $30
of the Holo Magi, his name is Junior Junior II.
-All confined to the science and technology
sections, which I never read. We could pass in the
streets or shanty town and I would never guess.
-You'll be my father-in-law, we'll go fishing.
-Fat chance. I disapprove of this. I know you, my
stepdaughter slightly better than you and I say:
there's no second chance in life. In fact, I ask you
to apologise to me, stirring me out of rest.
-You can have old memories without stirring $40
up old feelings, too. Try understand love at first sight.
-I won't bite my lip at this outrage, that those oddballs
should come together so... well, different as milk
and cheese. A curse on them, if they marry.
--Your words are apt, but I do not argue
with them, Toshiro. Que sera, sera.
-Could the department be divvied up that
he might rule it? This is too much of a
coincidence, it is wrongly interpreted, we must break up
the happy couple! We've got three or four sheikh's $50
and a dozen harems in our corner! It makes
me sick. So loveydovey. Holding hands.

[The Holo Magi sweeps the two large horseshoe
magnets around him, and the virtual characters
vanish.]

-Depart, exit, leave, neanderthals of the hologram.
As you can see, the mirage is the closest I've
gotten to wish fulfilment. They were drowned
at sea during a freak natural event on the sunniest
of summer days. Are unworthy of gene retrieval
and cloning. Achievement is the finest revenge.
I like to play it like an old home movie, now
and again to lift my spirits. Our shipwreck was $60
caused by a seicher wave two hundred metres
high which rose out of still waters two kilometres
away, sailors were jumping overboard in despairing
impatience. Nothing like their shipwreck.

-Orb, sparkling as you are, going
about in such a likeness to St Elmo's fire,
flit to the Stormchaser II and tell the
sex robots aboard, who have nothing
better to do in port than tweak one
another's nipples and slap one another's
arses, to wake up to themselves, to
come back here, against their better

-As I snort ozone, so shall I do just that, $10
in a leisurely heartbeat with a dogpaddle
of the refreshing breeze in front of me.
-So long my trusty whirligig, you oddball

of it at all. God should backdate the
good old days or apply them lump sum.
-Benign dictator, you see for yourself, me,

-You are too forward, but in the unlikely

out to rob me of my state and lock me up

creating black market wealth through
cocaine manufacture and peddling, nor signing
up for loans in New York to protect US

-Explain how Junior might end up here?
-You're more set in your ways than ever,
as you've grown older - let me bear hug you,
-No touchy feely for me thanks, Senor Junior. $40
-A sceptic, I admire that, you're a man after my
own heart if not Aztec, or left kidney.
Come on in, but you yes men who bootlick
and backbite, I have an opinion about you.
-He's talking out his backside, on his head

-It disgusts me that we have a common ancestor
going back as little as forty generations. You're
neanderthals, literally and in manner.
-We've seen our faces in wobbly reflections of $50
water and admit the lumpy nature of our faces
due to collisions under water on the shipwreck.
-I say it's karma, that you were too cheap,
even after my disappearance at sea, to hire
a luxury superyacht or buy outright.
-Alas, what is a pulp wedge of notes worth. We
pocketed the difference. All at sea in third rate
chartered rust bucket registered in Panama!
-I'm starting to believe you are who you claim -
this tax credit for charity rant you've started $60
is a nasty habit of yours, Senor Junior. I
recognise that brainwash, but not the hogwash
where you call yourself Holo Magi.

[Holo Magi waves two large horse shoe shaped
magnets either side of the Dictator to turn him
three hundred and sixty degrees.]

-Most of the atomic table is metals, not many
tyrants know that. Certainly, not you.
-Magi, give us the details of our shipwreck, that
only we know for sure, by your powers of
remote viewing and precognition.
-The shipwreck happened in still waters on a
sunny day with not a cloud in the sky. $70
-Black christ of Warsaw! Touche! Touche!
-You had a step daughter who was a bachelor
tomboy, whom you always called Frannie
and never Fran, whose face was the last to
pass through your mind as the ship went
down and you blacked out blue in face.
-Si, Frannie's little cherub face from long ago,
before she became a crook and a black sheep.
-I too have lost something, you might call a chip
off the old block, between Medellin there, $80
and the Cusp of Atlantis, here, on this chart.
-I scoured the gulags for her. I'm sure she's
all right with her pimp boyfriend, settled
down to picking pockets and shoplifting.
I have absolute faith in her survival skills.
I still carry her baby photo in this locket.
Wasn't she the cherub on an oil painting?
-Your ship dropped into a trench where a
hurricane was seeding, bluegreen bioluminscent
cloud shrouded you, your ship suddenly $90
plummetted and cracked in four pieces.
-Let me finish the post mortem, Senor Junior -
we were belched back up to the surface by
steaming underwater volcanic vents.
-I've forgiven you for your callous deeds.
-What is there to forgive? You make it sound
like spilt milk. Oops, I promise to stuff up
on purpose next time. You must play possum.
-The sex robots will hostess you to the
Stormchaser II. You'll be dropped off in $100
the Bay of Pigs, in the quiet early hours.
-Thank God for small mercies, Senor Junior.

[A venetian blind rolls up revealing Junior II
and Francesca playing poker with chips
piled high.
Behind them on the wall is a tableau of the
four kings of the deck.

-You let me win so as to make me fall
in love with you - I didn't see that coming.
-I did not. See. I was bluffing, I even
smiled to fool you, as you look down on me.
-I was taken in by the charm of your smile.
-I'd mark the cards to always lose just to make
you happy. You know that, my dear, my love.

a study toward sonnet #1,122 by FisherKingKQJ

Through our spat my love called me the most
Headstrong and bossy britches that he'd met-
Dumbstruck, I doublechecked this sudden upset
With close friends, who confirmed his rabid roast.
I'm restful round him, through his rants I coast,
I shan't yield him old snobby me just yet,
My degrees downplayed as not hard to get,
I spoil friends not to seem old tightwad host.
I'm total slave to those old roasts, old taunts,
He wouldn't pash me playing up pathetic,
Self ignorance stalks steadily my haunts,
Each pose that I broach stabs at bathetic.
I blub in my foam bubble bath half bare,
Whilst people scour my soul by bathysphere.

(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 bare
o $10,000,000 disclosed
o $10,000,000 naked

[The Holo Magi first draught.]
Act Three Scene Eight

[Orb, again, various bureaucrats in
sea salt crusted, sweatstained
two piece suits, as if they're pushed,
jostled and gently guided on, as sea plane
is played out in morse code and x, y, z in
the flats by lutes.]

-Satan and early Hitler in Vienna 1920.
Satan says to early Hitler, the watercolours
of your Blue Danube and little yachts are
indifferent if not poor. Says early Hitler
to Satan, you're no oil painting, yourself.
-Listen up: congeal, freeze, stiffen!

[The bureaucrats stand paralysed
mid step by the Magi's spell.]

You all, who have perpetrated an
outrageous white collar crime against
me through the nationalised insurance
company, I've...found a way to forgive you. $10
-What is there to forgive? Who are you?
-Miguel the Twentieth from the old days.
-You can't be - if he was alive he'd be old
and wrinkled, perhaps bald and stooping.
-Do I not have his chimera brown eye
and blue eye? Take a closer look, amigo.
-He does, he does. It cannot be denied.
-Chimeras are as common as twins,
they're one to the two dozen. And Miguel
had the eye colours the other way around. $20
I don't believe in face transplants, myself.
-I swear it's Miguel, he always had a young
and whiney voice. It's the same fellow, only
younger, he always favoured heeled boots.
-You accept my forgiveness, my amigos?
-Never. I'd sooner go blind in limbo.
-Do you believe our governor would've
stopped at me? Sent me into the eye of the
storm a little early? Setme for failure?
-He would. We don't want your forgiveness. $30
This is a circular, futile gambit.
-Orb, bring me my straw hat, fibreglass,
walking can and faux Minke whale leatherette
spats. Bring me my legs and my arm in
all the flavours of bio and mecha, bring me
a stool to sit on and a stool to rest my feet.

[Exit Orb, humming a tuk-tuk.]

-We did believe you'd come back a
broken hero, contest a hedge fund or two.
-You were an odd mixture of recluse and
reckless rube, the Stormchaser seemed a $40
lightning rod for bad luck and mutiny.

[Orb, above, chants:]

The bear got drunk on fermented honey,
The drones stung him to death,
His pelt is now a winter beehive,
Honey heat passes for his breath.

-The bear has gone into permanent
hibernation, the Queen Bee offseason
incubates. I'll miss you, Orb. You're
the only one who saw me as more than
a smokescreen of nanorobots and $50
two way mirrors. The Stormchaser Two
is fully automated, will take you back
to Colombia or thereabout. It shall
return unmanned, of its own accord.
-I'll upload the maps and charts
straight away into the bridge.

[End of Act Three Scene Eight first
draught.]
[The Holo Magi first draught.]
Act Three Scene Seven

[In the zodiac clock of the Holo Magi,
Orb and the Magi sit on the hour
and minute hands.]

-Now comes the time that I must
leave this island, the Cusp of Atlantis.
Now, the elements come together
into scum, substance and dregs.
Orb, we'll scoop away the scum of
wishful thinking and the dregs of
tainted memory, between lightweight
sun's helium and the blackhole of
lead, we'll boil up the white gold of
pure Truth. We'll work the alchemy. $1,000
-This clock minute hand I sit on
has jerked along another notch.
-Large karma works on small karma
as we approach the hour of twelve,
the shade of the FisherKing, the Golden
Age of Krsna is at hand. How is the
president-general's gaggle of yes men doing?
-Will not give up their fantasies, will
impose their fantasies regardless.
Some are at loose end down a cul de sac $1,000
of the hedge-maze, others full of
better hunches have cornered
themselves down a dead end. With them
is the Brazilian diplomat Toshiro
Hashimoto, who is neither here nor there
on all matters, the sentimental fatalist,
who throws a sobbing tantrum now
and then. You would not sentence him
to a chain gang down a palladium mine.
-I have feelings that I must justify - $1,000
or else ignore. He's not enough for me
to save, I shall not go back in time to
rescue him from himself. Amen to that.
-I shall tell them that there's an unfounded
rumour of your backdated mercy,
that they must not put too much store.

[Exit, Orb.]

For the last time, I look upon images of the
Cusp of Atlantis, before I conquered it.

[Here, a holographic album is projected onto
the Holo Magi, and around him.]

The mountains, before I turned them
into lightning rod generators and $1,000
galactic water conduits; the lower slopes,
before I turned them into heat exchangers;
the rivers, before I turned them into
hydro dams and fish farms; the forests I
razed to turn into coal for airtight
furnaces, the earth's crust, before I
turned it into masonry blocks and a
hedge-maze; the black iron sands of
the beaches, before I turned them into
steel and glass for the field laboratories $1,000
and the electric research ship, the
Stormchaser 2. Enough.

[End of holo slide show.]

And still the ignorant merchant ships pass
by in the middle of the night to
dump pulp-books and collectors' nickel-
copper coins. Here comes, Orb.
How it soothes my spirit to hear other
spirits talking to each other in melodic
morse code, mapping out aurally with
x, y, z co-ordinates the inventions of $1,000
ancient civilisations long gone: steam
engines, spinning jennies, typewriters,
gaslights, I close my eyes and luxuriate
in them all, as they tickle and pink my
earlobes. Bring our criminals in, Orb.

[The Holo Magi first draught.]
Act Three Scene Six.]

Albinio - Now, be careful of what you touch,
here. This corner is a museum of the Magi's
past achievements; you need to get a feel for
his ideas and history before you confront him
with your master plan, in his laboratory
testing fields, amongst his advanced machines.
Eduardo - From time to time in the hedgemaze I heard
whispers on the lilting, cool, fresh breeze.
Albinio - Was the name of Halah patrolling the
hanging garden of Babylon microclimates. $10
Bernardo - This is your church, and you have vandalised
the outer panel - we are deeply honoured.
Albinio - Such flattery of that order does not sweep
past everyday. The steamed coppers of
royalty keep my feet on the ground. The
Holo Magi has cut me off, but I'm not cut up.
He has the gown of invisibility. I was asleep
during the early hours of that breakthrough.
Eduardo - If I had a gown of invisibility, which would
surely be superior to a cocaine high, I would $20
walk up and down the streets of Medellin
squeezing boobs and fingering slots.
Bernardo - I would pick pockets all day long and
put a pleasure boat on three month lay by.
Eduardo - In other words, there is no gown of
invisibility, alas. Never mind, amigo.
Albinio - There is! There is! It's all clouds of nanorobots
and two way mirrors when the Holo Magi
is about. I can't breathe! Let go! Let go!
Bernardo - Let him go. Just the two pistol whips. His $30
water melon brain looks fit to burst.
Albinio - My head is full of sea horses. They'd die
on contact with fresh air!
Eduardo - Sea horses are a gambler's luck sign. We
know people in that racket, poor mad melonhead.
Bernardo - And I say, on the balance, we need no
invisible gown, the mules' overdose was by
a misadventure of the gut, and they would not
tip a waiter on a dollar an hour so much as a
dollar, actively sought discount tourguides $40
fresh out on parole to tell their uni friends
back home that powerless as they might be,
at home, they lorded in the third world.
Eduardo - Before I goose you, Albinio...is this where
the Holo Magi originally feathered his own nest?
Bernardo - We've only got the few cocaine seeds left-
it's giving me the shakes how poorly placed
we are. We have to kiss backsides everywhere.
Eduardo - You love being pistol whipped.
Bernardo - You don't know what you're dealing with. $50
The three headed dog was nothing.
He'll break your legs to make you taller
in splints and racks, he'll smack your teeth
out with a chisel to build you better teeth,
all without anaesthetic, so that in agony you
see it is no sleight of hand. You'll cry at
the top of your lungs that pain is a small price.
Eduardo - Enough is enough is enough is enough! Do
up the velcro at the back for me.
Bernardo - On anyone else, it would be an artst's smock, $60
or a madman's strait jacket, but upon you it is
styley. You're the clotheshorse.
Albinio - They're bulletproof jackets, one of the early
creations of the Holo Magi, all spider silk and
albatross feathers melted down and recast in
warps. He could kill you with the morse code
blink of his eye. All his instruments talk to
each other in morse code. All his spirits, like
Orb communicate schedules, exits and entrances
in high pitched taptap tapping. $70
Albinio - Then surprise will be our weapon. The Magi
has decided we shall come a certain way, but
we'll disorder his vector. It won't be theft,
but assimilation of the close at hand.
Eduardo - Albinio, we're fanboys in uzis and bullet
proof jackets, keeping things simple for the parts.
Bernardo - There's only one fashion statement we want to
make, trillion dollar bank accounts - world
domination would stir up the interest of out
and out psychotic crooks. $80
Eduardo - We'll launder through acts of philanthropy,
a returned nazi artefact here or there, from
mobile phones on the jetties of Lake Geneva.
Cretin, lead us on, and on and on.
Albinio - O but I do, I do. He'll expel us from the world
of primates, I'm sure - he'll give us observer
status as tarsiers and lemurs. The heartbreak!
I'd rather have a swollen head and the grand mal,
than a little pea brain in an egg cup.

[End of Act Three, Scene Six, first draught.]
[The Holo Magi first draught.]
Act Three Scene Five.]

[Orb appears, preceded by music in
the flat notes which describes in x, y,
z co-ordinates a presa canario dog.
Ahead of him waddle two dodos,
an escort of albatrosses, then six
herring seagulls yoked and towing a
mackerel seagull large brown fledgling
in a carriage with a tiny crown on
his head.]

[The Magi, invisible, speaks.]
-These gorgeous birds, whose peabrains
are supercooled by winds and supercharged
by oxygen used to fly round the world
with calculations of sun, moon and stars,
the magnetic fields of the earth, enough
cleverness to make them what they are.
-I know those birds. I don't think the
Magi's voice has been piped in. He is nearby.
It's not a good sign to be accosted by dodos.
-Perhaps uber dodo was voodoo'd out of his
own doodoo.
-It's the cheapest of tricks, to no purpose.
Maybe we should kill the Magi, after all.
Such a low class sorceror surely sleeps at night.
-With his stuffed animals and marked cards.
-If he was here, I'd demand a cockfight.
-A handicapped cockfight - four herring seagulls,
and a tern egg versus one male albatross.
-Call themselves birds of a feather?
An albatross would whoosh
the lot of them in one swoop. No contest.

[The birds and the wagon vanish.]

-Albinio, did you see that? Poof! Extinguished,
just like that.

[The Holo Magi materialises behind them, walking
on an extending leash a presa canario dogbody with
replica heads of Albinio and the two cocaine smugglers
on his neck.]

-Excuse me, could you tell me the way down to
the docks, I've lost my way, I've got the
Stormchaser to catch.

[The cocaine smugglers drop to their knees,
sobbing in shock.]

-I've only just met these fellows. I don't know
them.
-Is that me, Christo? I've never seen myself
drool and hang my tongue out like that before.
I'm not really like that, am I?

[Albinio, and the two cocaine smugglers stumble
to their feet and scramble away. The heads whine
hideously.]

-Orb, trip them up with hamstring cramps and
phantom ankle taps, give them pinkies,
chinese burns and dead legs. With heat of blood
freeze them out.
-I shall.
-I'd like to retire you at the top of your game, Orb.
-Without you I might be in limbo forever and a
day and yet another day. I've learnt to love living with
less. You cracked me out of an amber pellet, how
can I repay you?

{End of Act Three Scene Five first draught.]
[The Holo Magi first draught.]
Act Three Scene Scene Four

Magi-A congenital buffoon, born to
trigger nervous laughter and guffaws
of contempt, who, out of all the books
dumped and washed up on these shores
selected as favourite titles the most
infantile, fantastic, erroneous, defamatory
and archaic. Who, old now, from the very
first sought out the wrinkles of overlong
water immersion - the water on the brain
compounds his condition with deliberate
soaking, who collects and worships in a
cargo cult defunct coins, instead of smelting
them copper wires, switches and solenoids,
bowing on his knees to heaps of copper
pennies which for sheer size and weight
must be rulers of the realm with the largest
queens lording it over the smallest queens,
whom he rates mere princesses and ladies-
in-waiting. Big Queen, little queen, he can't
get enough of them.

a study toward sonnet #1,121 by FisherKingKQJ

First I thought that not missing my man would
Sign myself straight not dependent on him
For company and laughs, out on a limb
Our whole time, or harmless misunderstood.
My head was clear, life was bad, crooked, good,
Moved swiftly on by workload force or whim,
Down my appointment diary he peeled dim,
His toll calls I streamed as cheap as I could.
Strange for either one of us to settle
On lukewarm, facile, lethargic secondbest;
Dropping him, I didn't make the mettle,
My feelings were doomed pushbutton behest.
Surprise! from his first handshake back he knew-
Watched while my hand instinctively withdrew.

[first draught of The Holo Magi]
Act Three Scene Three

[Here, the Holo Magi chants the lyric
of the seven stick candelabra. Water is
boiled up across the seven candles in
steamy puffs which create an artificial
rainbow.]

Magi - We praise the colour signature
of Halah. With his tower of three magic
dice we praise him. Ollah, olleh, olluh.

Abacad ab raj,
Ebeced eb rex,
Ubucud ub rul.

[Here, the sex robots chant to lute
and harpsichord in the offbeat flat
and sharp notes, a paen to the magic
of botany.
Lemons, for cleaning,
Aspirin, for soothing,
Grappa, for anaesthesia,
Apples and Pears for scurvy
Cork for bottles
Mulberry silk for clothes etc.]
[Then another chanted paen to fruits
of decay from the table of fresh water.]

[Here the Magi shows Junior and Francesca
the garden of pyrethrum, the daisies
which protect the vegetables and fruit
from pests.]

[Here the Magi shows soy beans crops to
replace cattle milk and their enforced state
of pregnancy.]

[Here, the last segment of the five acre
hothouse, the Magi shows the crops of
green fuels, rubbers and plastics oozed
by genetically modified botanics.]

[Here, the Magi shows sex robots in
a miniature nuclear power plant kissing
and fondling each other, then washing down
uranium rods.]

Francesca-You could build a heaven of
peace and love even in the raging helium core
of the sun, I believe it, Magi.

[Distant crashing noise.]

Magi - I knew that Albinio would bring his new $10
best friends, your former compatriots in
cocaine smuggling, but he's always late
or early and acting the sad clown.
Junior -Holo Magi, you look a little flushed.
Orb -It's a long time since I've seen him
distracted in this way, or frazzled.
Magi -You yourself look a little frazzled, junior.
Cheer up, I mean, we're demigods and
we live in a hybrid virtual environment.
As you can see, some of the robots are virtual, $20
some plastic or material, others ride
together in grey puffs in the trillions and can
slip between parallel universes creating
receptacles for the instantaneous
transportation of human souls.
I learnt from the yogi breathing techniques
how to control dreams, luck and hard work
have done the rest. The palaces and castles,
the knives and forks are a waking hybrid
dream, an optical illusion or physical construct $30
of nanorobots. Some people would say a walk
by the beach at sunrise forever would be
boring after a while, but I like that option,
and when I forget the sunrise and all
worldly history, another sunrise
will remind me of it, in simplicity.
Fran - I've had my suspicions, Holo Magi. At what
fps speed are we playing at?
Magi -Alas, factoring in junk DNA, as little as
one thousand frames per second. $40
Fran -Your purpose, if I may but in?
Magi -To improve my position from middle order
wizard to top rank wizard. The first twenty
years on the island, Albinio and I lived dull
savage lives, then life slowly improved with the
first dumpings of paper and coins. Amongst
the damaged books and bent pennies we
found patent lapsed knowledge and the limitless
supply of electric power by lightning.
Fran - I beg your inordinate luck. $50
Magi - Leave me here awhile, as I review my work for
the last time here in the Cusp of Atlantis.

[Exeunt, Clone and Francesca.]

Magi - Orb, my much maligned old friend, my nerves
jangle at our next challenge.
Orb - What can I do for you, master?
Magi - Albinio is back, walking frame first.
Orb - I've kept track of that savage, he cracked
open a panel on your hothouse with an old
thighbone of yours. They laugh out loud at
almost nothing, run around in jittery circles, $60
sweating and puffing and then snorting
cocaine whiskey out of little airline bottles,
they followed my automated chants and luting.
I played them a camshaft from the front
and they're all arguing what year muffler
system it might be. They can't agree on
anything. Their legs are swollen with
jellyfish bites, crusty and bleeding with
cuts from clusters of clams on rocks,
red dotted with pricks from sea urchins. $70

a study toward sonnet #1,120 by FisherKingKQJ

The main attraction was his firm male flesh,
His hands were so expert, and he'd change gear,
So smoothly grinding into me arrear,
Or spooning sideways or on top in thresh.
Then after coffeebreaks, we'd start afresh
So sweaty raw and rough that I might tear,
I'd moan o baby into his hot blushing ear,
O baby our juiced crotches bluntly mesh.
I mean to say, we'd laugh, he'd be a chum
For days on end, but that he also cloyed,
With nothing common, I was mindful numb,
In his warm arms, inside me a niggling void.
I tried to quit him, each time our last gig,
But always hormones found their way to rig.

o $10,000,000 gig
o $10,000,000 act

Act Three Scene Two

-Perhaps, I've been too hard on you,
Francesca, you say these things as if
you're a master of your own future,
as if you work with the full set of
facts in front of you.
-Isn't that what you do, Holo Magi?
-I'm just an avatar for my real immortal
self in heaven. I'm becoming more and
more like my real immortal self. But,
trust me, if I come back from alternate
universe and find you
haven't lost ten kilos, or you draw the
attention of the authorities to junior's
trillion dollar empire of trade secrets
through flaunting wealth, you will be cast
off into virtual purgatory for a thousand
years.
-I regret not saving my heart for junior.
How was I to know my perfect husband
was waiting for me?
-I will be faithful and not faithful to you,
Francesca, we'll do foursomes with
favourite sex robots, you'll see.
-I see're trying to suppress a little titter,
Francesca, but let me assure you, the crudest
sex robot looks after the most advanced and
lifelike and vice versa, excuse the pun.

[Orb enters, followed by six sex robots in
white dust coats.]

But enough of profundities, life is more
than just animal existence, so let's follow
our guides as they undulate and chant
rhumbas through our five acre hydroponic
hothouse.
-You see in here melons, pears and peaches,
Ideally pitless, even fleshed and pure,
Shall fix your sad mind, your ailments cure.

a study toward sonnet #1,119 by FisherKingKQJ

You eye her from arrear and nearly swoon,
And picture plumb her angelic small face;
Her red blend hair extensions you displace
With memories of her face which seem boon.
You're neither first nor last as love rid loon
When knotted in by red appending grace;
You picture her bob end and you so trace
Your virtual fingers through her tress cocoon.
Men find a butterfly she thought up first
Or comb comb as she might well cast to type;
She might be some milestone to same at worst
She might reject with primping style sideswipe.
When she laughs her smile onto here and now,
You know her well enough to kiss her brow.

SPADES DIAMONDS CLUBS HEARTS
[The Holo Magi, first draught.]
[Act Three Scene One]

Marco - I know you from somewhere, senor.
Magi - I used to be your brother in law, but
now I'm very old. With age comes wisdom,
with wizardry comes the reversal of much
of the radical and frictional aging process.
Marco - Now I see you, yes. The blue eye
and the brown eye. You're a mosaic, as he was.
Magi - You know my twin brother melted back
into me, the ultimate sacrifice.
Whereas you took out insurance against $10
my name, laid bets against my safe voyage.
Marco - What was I to do? You wanted to be a
stormchaser. I covered up for you wild
dreams, which would take us all down.
Fran - Your brother in law's an idiot. I won't
dignify him by shooting him in the leg thrice..
Junior - Pistol whip him, pistol whip him, pistol whip-
Magi - Alakaj al-ra, alakaj al-ra.

[Orb swirls above the neanderthals, so
freezing them with their machine pistols
drawn and aimed.]

Magi - If you could see yourself, now, brother in law,
as a neanderthal amongst neanderthals $20
or a schizophrenic in front of a mirror.
You can eat all you like of this six course
dinner, it will not fatten, and if you bellyache
and still want more, I'll be up here.
Marco - Those pumpkins must be half a tonne each.
Junior - They were grown with tender loving care,
and are not for your factory palette.
Fran - We've walked and walked and walked
semi upright, what care we if a meal goes through
us like tandoori or oriental noodles. $30
Magi - Close down this virtual environment, Orb.
Marco - Let us stay longer and beg forgiveness.
Orb - I must do what I must do. The Holo Magi
cracked me out a piece of amber resin.
I had rested out of my body under a tree,
as arrogant young fools do. It's better to be
a spirit in service, than nothing at all. Disappear,
immaterialise, vanish, neanderthals.

[Neanderthals and dinner vanish.]

Magi - I'm sure my brother's drowned,
whether happy quick or slow sad, I care no longer. $40
It's enough that I outlive him by a century
or two. For who will bet against luck?

[End of Act Three Scene One.]
