[The Holo Magi first draught.]
Act Three Scene Five.]

[Orb appears, preceded by music in
the flat notes which describes in x, y,
z co-ordinates a presa canario dog.
Ahead of him waddle two dodos,
an escort of albatrosses, then six
herring seagulls yoked and towing a
mackerel seagull large brown fledgling
in a carriage with a tiny crown on
his head.]

[The Magi, invisible, speaks.]
-These gorgeous birds, whose peabrains
are supercooled by winds and supercharged
by oxygen used to fly round the world
with calculations of sun, moon and stars,
the magnetic fields of the earth, enough
cleverness to make them what they are.
-I know those birds. I don't think the
Magi's voice has been piped in. He is nearby.
It's not a good sign to be accosted by dodos.
-Perhaps uber dodo was voodoo'd out of his
own doodoo.
-It's the cheapest of tricks, to no purpose.
Maybe we should kill the Magi, after all.
Such a low class sorceror surely sleeps at night.
-With his stuffed animals and marked cards.
-If he was here, I'd demand a cockfight.
-A handicapped cockfight - four herring seagulls,
and a tern egg versus one male albatross.
-Call themselves birds of a feather?
An albatross would whoosh
the lot of them in one swoop. No contest.

[The birds and the wagon vanish.]

-Albinio, did you see that? Poof! Extinguished,
just like that.

[The Holo Magi materialises behind them, walking
on an extending leash a presa canario dogbody with
replica heads of Albinio and the two cocaine smugglers
on his neck.]

-Excuse me, could you tell me the way down to
the docks, I've lost my way, I've got the
Stormchaser to catch.

[The cocaine smugglers drop to their knees,
sobbing in shock.]

-I've only just met these fellows. I don't know
them.
-Is that me, Christo? I've never seen myself
drool and hang my tongue out like that before.
I'm not really like that, am I?

[Albinio, and the two cocaine smugglers stumble
to their feet and scramble away. The heads whine
hideously.]

-Orb, trip them up with hamstring cramps and
phantom ankle taps, give them pinkies,
chinese burns and dead legs. With heat of blood
freeze them out.
-I shall.
-I'd like to retire you at the top of your game, Orb.
-Without you I might be in limbo forever and a
day and yet another day. I've learnt to love living with
less. You cracked me out of an amber pellet, how
can I repay you?

{End of Act Three Scene Five first draught.]
