a study toward sonnet #448 by FisherKingKQJ
I go out in a plunging neckline gown,
My tousled hair, my pendulous earrings
Like gyroscopes aimed at nightlife uptown,
But men avoid me to keep their bearings?
Yet when I wear a dress suit for hearings
Or jury trials, my hair pulls back in a bun,
My false fingernails turn to useless parings-
By blouse and ascot tie men's heart's are won.
The look I would've thought was dull and dun
Just makes me challenging and mysterious,
I feel assured and relaxed this side of fun...
As a marriage prospect I look serious?
That I love male regard can't be denied,
I favour sidelong glances to bug eyed.
(Chorus)
That I love male regard can't be denied.
That I love male regard can't be begrudged.
That I love male regard can't be rebutted.
