It fielded me an over friendly face
It drove my patient kind and droll pals beserk
My knees knocked on the icy bluff embrace
Lifes deep pain caused this overglossing quirk
I thought a toothy smile left no foul trace
I judged with jealousy I coasted work
I craved approval caught short just in case
Six faces peer out down the totem pole
A very complicated me they make
All true including that one touched with ache
