It was long long ago I let her know
How I held on to bluff in brilliant act
How overpowering feelings forced the show
My sick heart set at sensual love in fact
I saw her swing eyes on high wide and low
I saw her blush and sigh and wink it pact
I felt a blush arise I matched her glow
Anxiety such a state as Id redact
I said that when I was laid low or worse
A sight of her did soothe away a pain
