I tumbled down the tilting engine room
Air pocket spluttered water as it rose
The while the cam belts screamed and thickly smoked
Steel gear wheels clanged mounts buckled rivets popped
And then on one last half expected lurch
The fibreglass leak prone sub spun oblique
And knocked me suddenly unconscious blank
I came to roused by fireball four limbed
He crackled static his veins long blue sparks
He passed his wiry palms through one baulkhead
Ahead of me which cut away as if
Twin welders torches melting metal sheets
Inflicted makeshift hatch on ceiling hull
I thrust my gasping head above the waves
Plasma
