a study toward sonnet #1,377 by FisherKingKQJ
(p)
That Magus is wise, studiously aloof,
He's ruled by primacy, and fumbles first
At patents, trademarks, copyrights, lips pursed,
While Atlantis' descendants press no proof.
I got to seeing us cross hatched, warp and woof,
I marked up scientific insights with thirst,
A loyal research assistant well rehearsed,
His live in love, I shared one bed, one roof.
Why does this sea life promise people much
Yet flaunt to them and us skin flashing bright,
Some octopus who pitches look, don't touch-
It's pretty poisonous, an open slight.
The times I tick the Magus as but germs
Or molecules on mystical fine terms.
(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 germs
o $10,000,000 bugs
o $10,000,000 microbes
