a study toward sonnet #668 by FisherKingKQJ
I feel alone and quite out of reason
When you're away for more than a week,
Everything looks plain and out of season,
And every soul looks pallid and weak.
Then do I have a neutral word to speak
Of homeless folk who beat the retarded
Then share laughs over bubble and squeak,
In silent contempt are both so regarded.
Autumn fruits at last are candied and larded,
Market glass houses harvested humid;
Seasons juniper tree disregarded,
Frosty supple leaves and twigs green tumid.
Through loneliness I inwardly chortle,
Remind myself of love that is immortal.
(Chorus)
Through loneliness I inwardly chortle. SPADES
Through loneliness I inwardly guffaw. CLUBS
Through loneliness I inwardly snigger. DIAMONDS
