Revised sonnet #402
They brought the baby by true faith in will
It didnt smile or play at peekaboo
Thing self absorbed and curled in noises nil
It didnt mug to mum on kiss and coo
I said I burgled strangers nothing new
If paid Id play the fairy from old lore
I harnessed radium light of greenish hue
I could effect a changeling swap as chore
The baby beams at stranger faces fore
The dangling dolls around adopted crib
It coos and laughs in ways you could adore
It slurps at stuck in spoon and drools on bib
If fairly fairy woke to change of scene
I keep on premise promise sneak out clean
