Revised sonnet #168
Our future set I strained to snare a share
The paltry profits pooled as common loot
Id scored him when I wore a sexy suit
I bought his art its city savoir faire
His latest portrait knifed till past repair
He kicked the bas reliefs enforced the boot
His standards silly still unmatched and moot
I swung to save he grimaced dont you dare
Art student barely legal little coy
His secret mistress more than passing whim
The camera obscura box their joy
They printed perfect paint on sack and scrim
I want to leave him yet I love his work
He hates himself a most endearing quirk
Chorus work endeavour oeuvre
