a study toward sonnet #1,270 by FisherKingKQJ
First I thought that she was some wishful dream,
I'd ticked that view of life as video game,
By her self just the same it seemed a shame,
The long face, golden hair, the gold eyes' gleam.
I guessed at her odd stunted self esteem
As she took buses, walked, so low class lame,
Then concentrated on my birdwatching aim,
She was cute, but pretty pretty was my seam.
I'd see her passing by, felt a potent pain,
Though myself disinclined to kids took stock
And worried strangely about her bio clock,
In places where chaotic thoughts rise then wane.
When I don't catch her now for her I clutch,
Earstuds white, knee-high stockings asking much?
(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 clutch
o $10,000,000 grab
o $10,000,000 snap
{Editors note: I did make contact with this girl in the 90's,
she was a dream, I said some silly things and the timing was
wrong. The first thing that I look for in a girl is that she be a
non-smoker, because giving up the habit twelve years ago
nearly killed me, just as writing the first few love sonnets nearly
killed me.}
