a study toward Sonnet #10 by FisherKingKQJ
Across that throng my retinas acquire
Someone vexed, enervated, then unfazed;
My lungs lit by grappe lurch on her pyre;
She briefly glances and pans where I gazed.
And giggling wide mouths round me are erased
By her youthful looks and pursed lips unphased,
That speed bump I wish to roll to pursue-
But blinking down and back I find her absent.
She's seated; I'm stunned by the blindspot skew;
My heart guesses at what her squint meant;
Should I her list of assets to her sue?
My stylus scrolls her gifts: items accrue.
Only in my mind I prepare a speech...
So far, a new love within, without reach.
{3D interactive text chorus.}
Only in my mind I prepare a speech.
I compose a speech only in my mind.
A speech only in my mind I ready.
