Revised sonnet #208
Youre beautiful youre frank youre elegant
Your qualities are quirks in other girls
I strive to strike the scene as relevant
I want you wearing braids and waves or curls
The fin de siecle in clock time now unfurls
It spurs our furtive smiles and furrowed brows
You fiddle nervously your pendant pearls
I ponder purpose stuck in wedding vows
Youre such a buxom babe in bra and blouse
Your arse a Georgia peach of ample girth
To pencil dress its shadowy cleft allows
Your sandals lift you level over Earth
Its good to bid byebye to penury
Though we depart the twentieth century
Chorus penury dearth scantiness
