Revised sonnet #82
Just like the other man I miss the mark
A shame I lack in bite he lacks in spine
Id grab his gifts to overlay those mine
I see Im like a whale hes like a shark
Theres emptiness inside this story arc
I see your smirks to secret speech incline
You rarely flatter either man too fine
I see Im like a gluon hes like a quark
Attraction then is purely physical
Ive found another whom Id kiss and cup
Attacked as superfluous I stiffen up
You catch eyes intimately quizzical
You wanted more or less a modern man
I did the best I could to prop your plan
Chorus man fellow guy
