a study toward sonnet #1,479 by FisherKingKQJ
I love slow greyhounds, first out the gate,
And whiskey cut by coke, poured over ice,
And tiny girls who smoothly in-line skate,
And old King Arthur's peopled poker dice.
I love halal goat on bone, sauce and rice,
And dolls next door who're granted one blind date,
And nets repaired by salts with knot or splice,
And sharply creased black suits which understate.
I do adore runt terriers who can drool,
And honesty box pears, their crisper crunch,
And friends who jump start, favour some car pool,
And hindsight which ticks a less obvious hunch.
My soul is crammed with items which are swell,
I love all this, and that chum you, as well.
(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 swell
o $10,000,000 great
o $10,000,000 massive
