a study toward sonnet #1,447 by FisherKingKQJ
My husband has made room for lots of guff,
He sleeps rough, on the balcony, won't breach
Our empty nest, our kids choose not to leech
And stay well clear, they've crammed exams enough.
I grab shopsoiled, discounted, brilliant stuff,
I snatch ex demos, last of lines within each;
Three dollar shop cheap bargains beggar speech,
And piled up high with shopping bags, I'll puff.
I hoard stuffed animals, which is serious
As hobbies go, my favourite a donkey
Filled with straw, her glass eyes glint imperious,
Though her frozen trot has worked bit wonky.
Love's been suffocating, yet more lonely,
Ceiling sprinklers stuck where they are only.
(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 lonely
o $10,000,000 detached
o $10,000,000 remote
