a study toward sonnet #1,427 by FisherKingKQJ

The wicked words that I said could fit anyone,
And could hurt anyone, yet true, I'd take
Them back straight, had I pondered how they'd stun,
Exaggerated shrieks, too, bluff fist shake.
Perhaps I felt unworthy round you, fun
With you I feared would end on your uptake,
My being too clever by half, quarter done,
A saboteur of self presenting fake.
I could die of heartbreak, miss the morning,
Please ring, please say there's another fellow,
Else tell me how we can meet, get mellow,
Else knock down that door, flag me first warning.
I told you where to go, you always give,
Give me back motive, through you I could live.

a study toward sonnet #1,425 by FisherKingKQJ

I fought so hard the meme of moral code
In animal instinct, genes bid do bad,
And later I excused them as mildly mad,
Their rough pack mentality overrode.
The lot of runts is richest mother lode,
Man's best friend smallest sickly rather sad,
No vantage view in dog's life might be had,
It's more how love of life seized Man's abode.
The fleet mite which makes the rat find the cat
Has villain values, shuttling back and fro
Gut parasites lead their lions, well know
To meet their mates in warthog munch, that's that.
The vegans wouldn't ever stoop to steaks
In Atlantis, men bit on cooked oat cakes.

So I look back now at what verse has been
With pride, the reeking sweat and labour rubbed
And drained from tempered typeface can't be seen,
Those lines are smooth, no hint of phrases flubbed.
Each sonnet I've written to simply mean
Plain things, no tagged subtext font overdubbed,
No murky metaphor, no gloss to glean,
No strained personification, all props snubbed.
Times which I've knelt on castor wheel based chairs,
Upholstery stained pitch by porn site viewers
And savage, sanguine multiplayers from sewers
To publish lines, these literary wares.
So Marco, lets uncap Mexican light beer,
Our wives clink we, sip amber bottles clear.

(Chorus)

o $10,000,000 beer
o $10,000,000 ale
o $10,000,000 lager

a study toward sonnet #1,423 by FisherKingKQJ

(octet)
A convention there is when it comes to verse,
We find a pretty girl to foist through praise,
Whom rare words can immortalise, so raise
To goddess stature, not for her a hearse.
Now, typeset cues back to front its blot curse,
And mumbles twist and truncate, nuance rephrase,
And paper burns up accidental blaze,
And museum funding cutbacks make things terse.

a study toward sonnet #1,422   by FisherKingKQJ
(lllllvi)

You slink back after having second thoughts
About commitment to me, you're merely late,
In your well formed opinion you're out of sorts,
If I could figure you out girl mad by fate.
Though I do not approve of fate, which ports
An unaccountable and passive state,
Tarts find you first, your chat up line but courts,
Sure, alpha male, and when they're done, I wait.
These are my terms, you try please understand,
No keeping secret score and piling points,
No jugs of beer and fags and rolled up joints,
In public no arse grabs, just grasp of hand.
Some conditions we'll thoroughly discuss,
To give you pause, that you bundle both of us.

o discuss
o argue
o converse

a study toward sonnet #1,421 by FisherKingKQJ
(llxxxii)

You demonise a dude whom you then loathe,
He's left you looking after your sweet child
By which I'm pestered, prompted, else beguiled,
And whom you housetrain, feed, scrub clean, and clothe.
Please, honey, kiss byebye to cuss, don't oath
And throw off little left you when you're wild,
The salvage can then take pretext for troth,
I may be callous too, I'm often rather mild.
Through you I've sourced escape from self deceit,
I panned no master, my frames were eyesores,
Was hobbyist playing with paint across a sheet,
As creatives often are such barren bores.
You're silly looking back, here's brand new start,
As you're quite beautiful and young at heart.

(Chorus)

o $10,000,000 start
o $10,000,000 beginning
o $10,000,000 origin

a study toward sonnet #1,420 by FisherKingKQJ
(llxxxxii)

Why fall in love? why flirt and lose control
In chatting up a man and choosing him
Your lifetime mate? why take short odds and trim
Your dividend to dull affairs of soul?
As I'm one whom love once enveloped whole,
The many months I rucked its wondrous vim
I loved him lump sum, furious, merry, grim,
And merciful, claimed our rigmarole.
As he'll spend more time round his old schoolmate
Soon you'll see how fervent passion settles,
He'll clam you colds and laugh when you emulate,
He'll growl listless, much test both your mettles.
If he's all worried, then you won't get sleep,
You'll empathise, he'll posit not one peep.

(Chorus)

o sleep
o doze
o nap

a study toward sonnet #1,419   by FisherKingKQJ
(lllix)

You wrest some advantage won of my good will,
It's me who swings the giving love at stake,
And you're so facile now that you don't fake
A nice commitment, you shrug that it's nil.
Once I adored you, couldn't cap my fill
Of your plans, dreams and values; my heartache
Is such that I could boo you without break,
Or poke my pink tongue out at you to chill.
I'd rather motormow lawns, take out trash,
Or steam iron satin skirts than waste time on you;
Lying next to you my teeth begin to gnash,
I dream about unknown men nude and new.
You never compromise, acknowledge a point,
My bending back has put our love out of joint.

(Chorus)

o point
o dot
o stop
a study toward sonnet #1,418   by FisherKingKQJ

transl.  by Friar Niccolo from the Aramaic
parchments, unknown origin

In Christian bookshops bibles gather dust
On far end bookshelves, neither browsed nor bought;
The walks with Jesus hustle suave onslaught,
Bestselling self promotions, market sussed.
Our crux being crucifixions were a must
Of gospel gossip, morbid thorns for thought,
Such commonplaces chances caught,
The Appian sixteen thousand added thrust.
If Josephus appends a giant lard arse
Who peels off his cross nails in pouring rain,
His wrists and ankles greased against the grain,
Who bounces back to Bethlehem, makes sparse.
That carpenter once nailed his fingernail,
Cussed Roman Venus, as he could impale.

(Chorus)

o $10,000,000 nail
o $10,000,000 claw
o $10,000,000 horn

a study toward sonnet #1,417 by FisherKingKQJ
(lllviii)

Words, I love you, which I long awaited
Unlike ones rolling from his lustrous lips,
His voice strident, he yet hesitated,
He claimed, it's me, not you, he'd come to grips.
Weeks I'd sob and rage, then soar elated,
Laugh myself mad, shake from throat down to hips,
Friends declared that he just was not fated ,
That someone better suited would eclipse.
But you know what? I waltzed in front of him
Swore on my own behalf that I so was
The best thing which occurred to him because
I took him sad and happy, sweet or grim.
Which didn't stimulate one single bit,
As he pulled hostage close a girl a whit.

(Chorus)

o bit
o item
o piece

a study toward sonnet #1,416 by FisherKingKQJ

It was true love fifth, sixth, or seventh sight,
She was a solicitor, kind of cute;
She practised out a shop on sharp turn right,
I'd catch glimpse from my customary route.
But even so a serious chance was slight,
I was loyal to flagrant fancy, a brute
In leers of ladies' bums, unseen their blight,
A sigh in passing passed for good repute.
One mirror I found myself just with her,
Shoring velvet sofa, sharing sherry,
Chat was loose and light, our mood was merry,
I fielded cuddles as they might occur.
Marriage licence issued three weeks later,
Quaint aunt Katy, if surprised, would cater.

(Chorus)

o later
o expired
o passed

Dear Diary,
I've let myself get bogged down in research for that first
interactive movie. Never mind, the bank credit crisis
is damaging to our competitors as we're decidedly
prepaid mobile phones and cash through animated automatic
telling machines. I knocked too hard on those "tech wreck"
doors in 2001. How they called our hand typed letters of
introduction "spam" and how spineless was the unnamed
Kiwi web host not to help me call their bluff. Not now.
I've upped the ante, doubling the price of this web log to
$4 billion cash plus $2 billion stock in a bank. A commission
of 10% or $600,000,000 USD as a brilliant one off is available
for this deal on completion.

a study toward sonnet #1,415   by FisherKingKQJ

That girl likes making massive fuss of food,
It's wheat and gluten gross that she can't touch,
At restaurants she'll pick at portions much,
She emphasises entrees overchewed.
Then, from my plate a piece is nicely hewed
With trembling tines, no calories as such
In my plush, hearty meals, her klepto crutch,
Though wretched, still petite, she's rarely rude.
She'll pay a premium for near empty plate,
It dampens down invested sexual urge;
And organic black coffees cooperate,
I pity her, shake my head ahead of purge.
Her spotless toilet pan spells out less is more,
Size eight clothes on non curves I do adore.

(Chorus)

o $10,000,000 more
o $10,000,000 extra
o $10,000,000 surplus
