a study toward sonnet #1,384 by FisherKingKQJ
(lxxiv)
I felt that my poor shattered heart was shared
By everyone around me, they sobbed in sync;
No sentiments in such vein ever reared,
They'd kiss as per, and arm in arm they'd link.
I dodged what couples clubbed in public dared,
The cuddles, pouting cues for kisses, stray wink;
Such loopy loving is lived through, not fared,
Suppressing tears, I bid a vacant blink.
When starved of love it's seeming oversold,
When stuffed with love it's fuzzy inexact,
In love again, you wield a woozy fact,
The same old typeface, and yet blocked out bold.
I had my taste of love, struck weird stonewall,
There's nicer folk round who've felt none at all.
(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 stonewall
o $10,000,000 barricade
o $10,000,000 obstruction
