a study toward sonnet #1,261 by FisherKingKQJ
Love hit me bluff a week or six days back,
Precisely how, I've cleared off ancient clues-
It swirled in skin three tones: red, blue and black-
I'd tottered, bumped, but hadn't placed the bruise.
I'd seen her round, liked her, a code to crack,
Somehow, we'd peeled off as pairs, peers and twos,
A cluttered aisle, a stiff hinge, though no smack
Of fevered romance, acrid wet squib fuse.
Liking her grooved lanes to loving better,
Though I'm not one to tease, or awkward ask,
One day I fagged a favour, then next her task,
Chance shaped rote, wherewith I slaved each letter.
She's pretty, as such pretty girls go, boss,
Laid two dimensional, entrapped my loss.
(Chorus)
o $10,000,000 boss
o $10,000,000 grape
o $10,000,000 head
