Revised sonnet #1589
I watch as souls in slums stuck bid escape
Their knuckle dusters understanding find
I watch as souls in red tape squirm and jape
Their pockets deep might launch a lawyer in kind
I jabbered once as if a jackanape
And low in luck the lazy bones aligned
Id smirk and clap and cower and bow and gape
To back out from informal social bind
The folk Id like to patiently impress
Have passed in sleep in simple peace of age
The folk Id sold short since start seen still less
Embroider my dreams express the purest rage
Im stuck in stuff thats sad my fault or not
I guess and grope at good and bad my plot
Chorus not nein nyet
