Revised sonnet #1615
I had thought naively nothing needless hurt
I copped a knock and hit a karmic snag
I was aware of foe and felt time lag
My back against the wall I was on high alert
A friendly face youd fathom never flirt
A bubbly babe youd banter never nag
A savvy soul you'd silence never bag
You were a pal those times I was inert
Was wondrous fortune when I felt that fine
Youd levelled bows in spectrums parallel
The dark and heavy clouds abrupt decline
The world was drained of hate I couldnt quell
You showed me power in fear and power in doubt
A stiff resolve inside that toughs things out
Chorus doubt quandary scepticism
