Revised sonnet #1620
I'm living proof of how things wrongly read
Eventuate fine at first you may just fall
In love on strong impressions little said
Assumptions stick they're hard to overhaul
At social dos and donts to which Im lead
I hold her coat or cap or gloves or shawl
I praise a great girl next door dolled drop dead
And womanisers weeds and wags watch all
As she strides into empty eerie rooms
As she strides into such a busy crowd
It undermines me maddened but I'm proud
Of her the safety valve as she assumes
I'll drop drunk on our wobbling waterbed
And draw this girl in spite of swollen head
Chorus bed couch divan
