a study toward sonnet #727 by FisherKingKQJ

Impressed by Pharaohs' looming pyramids,
Self ignorant of grossly sweated work,
Enchanted by stars rolling on their grids,
I quizz: is great love fated or a quirk?
Discounts in ancient shadows surely lurk,
In concrete like premoulded building blocks,
And why should rapid mass production irk?
We weep for blisters, chisels blunt and rocks?
I'm mortified by your set backs and knocks,
But I endorse your labours nonetheless
Beyond quartz crystal, shadow or water clocks,
When gold is smelted, in scumdreg duress.

I love you so that you love me all the time,

You're quality tools, else a rarefied rhyme.

(Chorus)
$10,000 time
$10,000 period
$10,000 while
