sonnet #1,611
I'll slump across this honeymoon bedspread,
You curled across a white throw hidden couch,
You glumly silent, something I should grouch,
Think, how and why love has now quickly fled?
I might've seen it mapping out ahead,
I did ask round, and swot up, being no slouch,
Expected pain engaged, a muted ouch,
Those quirks of habit waived by newlywed.
I work a wedding ring, merely metal,
You look a pile of atoms trapped by germs,
Ponder past hand presses centripetal,
Assess the warm hugs, quiver woozy squirms.
You mete a metaphysical blue spark,
From ring to ring, yards cold if on the mark.
(Chorus)
o spark
o flare
o twinkle

sonnet #1,610
You were a never was might have so been,
That beyond our homely house the bungalow,
You tickle on a giggle based touch screen
My fancy, yes, skipped round by fingered flow.
You're all to me, the loving gift, the golden mean,
That living work of art kind gods bestow,
If primping, pensive, poker face serene,
If smiling, giving, bolstering, aglow.
I stroke a tress off your eye, sweep in place
Along a temple, straighten stocking line,
Zip up your poplin dress back, pleasure mine,
And straighten up your collar silk one trace.
That's you as you, abiding days gone by,
The touch of touched up photo, eye to eye.
(Chorus)
o by
o past
o rear

sonnet #1,609
I see her, what she does, this snooty bitch,
Aware too well of her own lovely looks-
How she arouses giving sneers and snooks,
They're flirty, cheeky, her teasing twitch.
Her soothing smile assumed does flip the switch,
Wins over me with come here finger crooks,
I'm very past the cuddling curves and nooks,
I love her still, though, only hidden hitch.
I would trap her mine, in my arms treasure,
Her boldness foster once again heartfelt,
Her strange frailties far too fine to measure
Embrace with fiery kisses closely dealt.
With him she steps out perfect, I could sob,
Outstanding, one in million, milling mob.
(chorus)
o sob
o cry
o weep

sonnet #1,608
I dodged you near the altar, dreamt in doze,
Not thinking through, awoke a minute late,
My feelings fancy flooding drowned our date
And hour, as we'd got wise great friends, small foes.
I thought our marriage licence might just close
Out stroppy suitors from the chapel gate,
Placate in-laws I by turns love and hate,
Enough guest couples arm in arm, God knows.
I fear your trusting views, kept under veil,
Those blinking eyes I love, your baby face,
Most pretty girls move on in time a trace,
Where darker locks and deeper features scale.
The best man tapped the blacksmith talking shop
Next door, he found me fidgeting, that fop.
(Chorus)
o shop
o boutique
o emporium

sonnet #1,607
Now your mum's foisted you the facts of life,
My daughter, learn the facts of life from dad,
I know that teen years teem with strife
In hormone bursts, I hedge recalling how that's bad.
The world's irrational, and wobbling mad,
I'd rather see you ever some bloke's wife,
Low water mark acknowledged, not a cad,
Enjoying employment, thrown to rigours rife.
We're not your best friends one summer season,
We'd rather love you distanced, nearby dwell,
And not sabotage things, serve up treason
With force, a laughing lax or heckling hell.
But rules are rules, that you do we can't fuss,
Achieve that you now choose, no less than us.
(Chorus)
o fuss
o ado

sonnet #1,606
I, Judas, carped that carpentry workshop,
First spied the medical veneer spruce chest
For amputees and scabbers, splint for lop,
Where repetition randomly does wrest.
As Marcus Crassus' error margin crop
Was decimation, Herod-like assessed,
Insurance via consensus census drop,
His sixteen thousand crucified at best.
If snitches say that one survived the boss,
Well, greed does get done glossed, if ever cheap,
And fasting thinned bones can enlarge the leap
When booze numbed brittle, set on skinflint cross.
I've counted crooks who're crucified by nods,
A toss, my waking dreams aware of odds.
(Chorus)
o nods
o bows
o ducks

sonnet #1,605
I felt so heaven blessed tied down to her,
It gave me focus, friendship, flair and fun,
I felt as fiancee then life had begun,
And few too few mates on this would concur.
Not done, I questioned judgement, did I err?
Her viewpoint viewed, was true love too hard won?
Was she too nice to end it sharp or shun?
Was she not blinkered, did her judgement blur?
I fronted up to her with my unhealthy doubts,
I writhed to kiss her either pale, veined wrist,
Her eyes welled sparkling soft with calming tears,
And tremulous dismay appeased her pouts.
She formalised me, checklisted my charms,
She pulled me right down into avid arms.
(Chorus)
o charms
o allures
o delights

sonnet #1,604 and occasional verse
(The following sonnet and verse are divinely
inspired, restricted to persons eighteen years old
and over, and any resemblance to persons
living or dead would be purely coincidental as the
content is fit to the rhyme.)
Philosophy and logic served me well,
And precedent implied that love was cheap,
If rent and food when pooled were priced less steep;
For her for seconds I mulled subprime hell.
But she includes her own bioclock hard sell,
It stays unspoken; I've questioned that a peep;
Am I supposed to pitch intuitive leap?
Is it inspired hand jobs for belly swell?
It hurts that I'm now overwhelmed by her
Craving one true love, which could seem greedy,
As I'd picked her likely least when needy;
Yet she and allied archetypes concur.
The worst of which is this new diet;
Do I shove food off on a kid, but quiet?
(Chorus)
o diet
o menu
o regimen
[Occasional verse]
Doctor drew his wrists together,
Cuffed a newborn kid with tether,
The dubious touch of eyes undoing,
The shame of gouging worth eschewing.
Since, he's queried cute poledancers,
Nurse and copper costumes, answers?

sonnet #1,603
There you pass flaring nostrils flexing air,
On point of blanking me out near point blank,
And you could sniff, too, certify my rank,
That'd be you; well, I wouldn't sigh or care.
Then after satin tailored tight I stare,
Especial seemly seams down either flank
Things could be worse, so wild good luck I thank,
I go through what you said in plumb despair.
A rotten bishop who's self pinned on pawns?
A pawn in zugzwang working worse and worse?
How can I lift the touch it-move-it curse?
Is stalemate sleepless, squared off dusks and dawns?
Or are you bluffing momentous moment?
What's the game in your beguiling foment?
(Chorus)

sonnet #1,602
You're not the nice chick that I see, you seem
The pretty hour glass figure who's great fun,
A spontaneous titter, laugh or smile undone,
Some charitable cares, a thank you theme.
You're sparks of grey nerve cells, ionic eye gleam,
You're hierarchies of nuances down to none,
Reborn quite future proof and piecemeal won,
You're skin and bone shed by the tissue ream.
Evolved by horizontal, rude microbes,
Good fat, bad fat, good germs, bad germs hybrid,
You're genes who've suffered genial viral probes,
Diffused, inverted, time expressed or hid.
Hypnosis perks up your touched proteonome,
And bids you better you, air kissed genome.
(Chorus)
o proteonome
o accomplishment
o deliverance

(Tri-via-log between Jester, parrot and the
alloy chemist.)
Parrot - Take, take, take.
Jester - Forgive my friend, he's only got the
forty most common words to work with.
Alchemist - The ingots are ahead of schedule.
The Barony will have enough food and water
to see out the battle if we get them traded
with our foreign partners.
Parrot - Grab, grab, grab.
Jester - Look at this cream on white cicatrice
multiplication sign the black knight carved
onto my chest while sparing my life. I've got
no credibility beyond serving as a locum
messenger of indifferent tidings. What are
the alloy chemy secrets of those gold ingots,
to quell idle curiousity?
Alchemist - Those ones are lead cases filled
with pure white crumbling gold. These ones
are solid gold in rolled lead and are separated
with mild heating and a crow bar. That lot of
ingots are lead alloyed to gold. At a secret
temperature in the cauldron, the lead separates
out from the gold. As oil sits on top
of vinegar in the picnic dressing jar, so the gold
liquid sits on top the lead liquid in the cauldron.
Jester - I didn't hear or see anything. I know scum
and dregs and nothing in between.

sonnet #1,601
(Duke Talon among commemorative plates
hung on walls and draped cheval mirrors,
beard overgrown and grey, his clothes dirty,
in a cobweb rid and dusty torture dungeon.)
When darkness meets with sadness, certain things
Look bleak and black, personified and shrunk,
And hair pins seem to hit flagstones a clunk,
And battle worn sword blades seem glaring dings.
When sadness meets with gladness, many strings
Attached, euphoric, impassioned, over junk,
Magnanimous to what had once plain stunk,
Then love flees swift on synedochal wings.
But pupils widen, search a distant spark
Of firefly, moonlit curtains, feintest shine
Or plankton, plangent feelings disembark,
The silver mirrors sort what's me from mine.
And so with no place void of ambient light
There's no place love can't leak in, none in sight.
(Chorus)
o light
o aura
o glow

(a)
(Prince regent wearing small silver binoculars
on a white gold necklace. Red haired peasant
girl in tattered silk smock on a winding dry creek bed
on a battered stover wagon, little draught
unicorns on harness, in distance.)
I owe you oodles, doubly daunting debt
For breathing me alive, yet I can't bask,
It's more than favours paid back, my guess bet,
Surviving coma trauma testing task.
I still attest it best to give and get,
My clued up spies who swear by cloak and mask
Are only martial, Talon's targets met,
To heal your heavy heart not their set ask.
I'll ride to battle boldly down through Bole
With cavalry and camaraderie
And crush Duke Kull's chicanery,
The squad he sends to serve as army whole.
I'll track back then to my one true love, yes,
Or no, if yes, for a wound dress caress.
(Chorus)
o yes
o da
o oui

(a)
(A gruntled peasant and the switch
Lady Looking Glass in the Bole of
Parabolic Mirrors.)
Lady Looking Glass, we're lately leery,
Gossip stories guide the precious pinch of salt,
Duke Kull's unburnished mirrors can't revolt,
Each is selfless, non-reflective eerie.
Sobs aside, my soul is ever teary,
That old blue blood's silver sips are to fault,
Those hoards of healing silver, lock, key, bolt,
He's tinged blueish white as white, there's no query.
Some have defected principles and flee
The racking tortures here, Talon's passive role
Of negligence and voyeurism, the phony plea,
Prefer death clean and quick to dimming soul.
Trust our Baron Talon melancholic
Leant on mist and mirrors parabolic.
(Chorus)
o melancholic
o downcast
o saddened

(b)
(The prince regent croons as he twists
two paddle two way mirrors, one on top
of the other and looks in to see the future.)
I'm peering into crosshatched mirror panes,
I see Kull and Talon tensely shaking hands,
Their gauntlets grasp to balalaika strains,
A narrow, grim alliance in no man lands.
Third party foe have fled, none fierce remains,
A squad of fortune's soldiers now disbands,
In their background a gifting graft tree stands,
On its three branches, swell fruits sapping grains.
The seedless fruit hangs orange, lemon, lime,
And its leaves glossed are tempered evergreen,
And near, child groom and bride are both preteen-
And future, present, past come autumn time.
A blighted crop of spuds now comes to play,
Snap frozen crisp on snowy peaks far away.
(Chorus)
o play
o flutter
o game

sonnet #1,600
You are my latest love and logged in last,
It pains me so to say that I'm not home,
Until late, that I'm working on a tome,
My head is heavy like yours, kept downcast.
Deadlines now loom and what's sad past is past,
So please don't weep the while I madly roam,
The wave is vectored, we but ride the foam,
We've gone through bad luck elsewhere, both aghast.
No worth is worry worked up heart attack
About the world, and its mysterious strife,
Agendas hidden, hindsight there and back,
Or pressure groups or unemployment rife.
I didn't want to write, I crave the cash,
To celebrate you, darling, don't be rash.
(Chorus)
o cash
o folding
o minted

sonnet #1,596
I went out with him, we killed tiresome time,
His own true motives myriad, that I own,
I liked his manners, mannerisms sublime,
He opened double doors for me, me alone.
There were nice pauses punctuated with chime
Or tick tock, ignored buzzes by cell phone,
And mirrors told us partners, pitched our prime,
We tipped - which maitre d' would not condone?
I braved dates out with him to break it off
Before I fell in love and got so rightly hurt,
That's all I was, a fatuous female flirt-
Last time at my doorstep he twitched to cough.
Or so it seemed, as my eyes quickly shut,
His lips on mine hot, his hand round my nut.
(Chorus)
o shut
o blinded
o closed

sonnet #1,595
I play against the sharpest card the One
To win the lowest trick last and save my face
Though quite aware he is a wizard ace
I am in luck as well as love undone
I see him arm in arm in flagrant fun
My lookalike in youth rejects embrace
And quickly combs his locks of grey in place
And worse my wretched change of lifes begun
I see him later when his stem cells seize
His locks are wholly black his brow unlined
She looks a lovely teen untouched at ease
Their hugs are huge their honest kisses kind
I gawk I get my poor nose out of joint
The crystal ball describes a turning point

A perfect man in my heart lives but who
Hung him on hold I guess Ill never know
All stuff I feel affects to loving so
To speculate on well wish seems taboo
I loved that leg tattoo of light blue hue
The mascot plover swooping high to low
I felt in my cheeks rise a rosy glow
His name as knight I didnt dare pursue
With him to luscious lands Ill soon elope
Well dress in his and hers in satin suits
Well feed on simply freshest scrumptious fruits
Well dust them down with lightest poppy dope
Well live and love light years and years away
And see our honest selves well into play
Chorus away distant off
